how much do you think a fancy grooms cake (ya know, a cool shape w fondant) would cost for about 35 people?
a friend of a friend makes cakes and i asked if she could make mine. she is checking her work schedule, cuz this is something she does on the side...but then she also asked me my budget
i have no idea...and i really dont have a large budget for this at all...but what is a fair price??
anyone price this out yet?

depends on the detail most bakeries do $3 pp with fondant and then add on the time for details....
but thats just me and my knowledge

hmm. thanks. what if i offered a price and offered to pick up the cost of goods...
can you give me an idea of what the cost of goods would be?? is that a bad suggestion? i dont wanna wind up short on cash....

Well, I don't know exactly how much bakeries would charge but to give you a rough idea, for our EPARTY my cousin (chef) made a boat cake (replica of FH boat) as a 'grooms cake' so to speak..........PIC IN ALBUM
people kept asking her how much something like thta would go for for their own parties and she said probably around 300-450?? It fed about 75 people (very small slices LOL)
