Grooms Cake Protocal

Grooms Cake Protocal

I would love to do a grooms cake, but I have a few logistical questions:

-when is this done during the reception?
-is a song played as it is brought out?
-who eats it? is it just served to the grooms men and dads?

I have heard about it but never been at a wedding where it was done and was wondering.

Thanks

hmmmmm...... good Q's.

I wanna get a cake for Michael as a suprise. (I wanna do a cake shaped like an Islanders jersey) He'll just LOVE it!
I think I am just going to have it delivered and sitting on its own table near ours. Anyone can eat it, I guess. And maybe I'll have a little presentation with the hockey song playing in the background as I feed him a piece!

It's gonna be so great! Let me know where you get it from. I should start looking to get prices as well.

Good Luck!

I'm having a groom's cake, but I'm giving it to him at our rehearsal dinner because I feel like it will be too overwhelming at the reception and he won't get to enjoy it as much. I'm getting mine from Jackie's cake boutique...she is so creative and her cakes are delicious! Here's the website...www.jackiescakeboutique.com

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Good luck!

I am surprising him with it at the rehearsal dinner. Then we can all eat it for dessert.

I gave DH his cake at the rehearsal dinner also, it was a huge hit!

Everyone enjoyed it more, and it made it more special for him since I thought at the wedding it would get lost in the shuffle

You're welcome! Jackie is a sweetheart...one of my BMs and I went to her house for a tasting and it was like hanging out at a friend's house! Plus, she has the most adorable Dachsund (sp?) who I didn't want to leave.
