I have to say that I was shopping for a grooms cake for a while before the wedding and just about gave up..until someone posted a vendor rave about 'A Taste of Home'

I ended up getting by far the BEST price and booked them two weeks before the wedding!

The cake tasted AMAZING!!! (will be posting wedding pics soon)

Taste of Home is in North Bellmore. It is on North Jerusalem between Bellmore Ave and East Meadow Ave.

Sweet Karma on East Meadow Ave. in East Meadow is really good too!

The cake was around 250--but that is because it was rainbow cookie
Regular cake with a filling would be much cheaper

Re: Grooms Cake -Queens / Nassau (repost from BHB)

i want to surprise FH with a Breitling cake that matches his watch - the groom at the wedding he worked last weekend had one - its the same watch i got him, the kid had the watch and then his wife surprised him the cake - and of course FH loved it and kept talking about it.....i was like how come i didnt think of that

but its hard b/c im not in LI and would need a LI bakery to bring it to JT - i would want it at the wedding
