I want to do this for FH but I am not sure if I know all the details...

About how much did you spend on the cake?

When & where does it get delivered?

At what point in the wedding does that cake come out?

Any recommendations in Suffolk County for a bakery?

I would say most people pay between $150-$250 depending on the details of the cake. I am paying $160.

I am picking up the cake and I will give it to FH at the rehearsal dinner. If you want it at the wedding, most people usually do it around the same time as the regular wedding cake.

The Cake Gallery in Bellmore. Tom is awesome to work with.

I spend less than $100!

When & where does it get delivered?
My cake got deliver to my RH the day of =-)

At what point in the wedding does that cake come out?
My cake came out when we were abiout to cut the Wedding cake =-) He got surprise!

Suffolk? Sorry I dont know that much in Suffold, I live in Nassau.

Kerri, I haven't gotten a price yet but I think I'm using the Sugar Chic for mine. I used her for my will you be my bridesmaid cookies and she is soo easy to work with, and I saw an '11 Bride with the exact cake I want and she got it through her.

She works out of her house kinda near the Smithhaven mall, so I planned on having my MOH or another BM pick the cake up before the RD, because thats where I'll be showing it.

I didn't price it out yet, but I'm probably using the Cake Gallery in Bellmore

I am going to display it at the RH and then we can cut into it when we do our cake.

I don't want to bring it to the RD because then not everyone would get to see it and how cool it is. That's JMO

We are using the Sugar Chic for our grooms cake AND wedding cake. She is WONDERFUL to work with. She is delivering to both.

Thanks girls. LadyJ quoted me alot more than I wanted to spend. I have an email out to La Bonne Boulangerie & Sugar Chic! Keep the recommendations coming!

for a small grooms cake (it's really just for the look, right?) i would go private. Cost= much cheaper! Think small sized cake boss or one of those TV shows. I saw one groom who had a skull cake.

Delivered to RH

When to put out- depends if u want to be a surprise or not, matre d can probably help you with that

i know a couple people who do these types of cakes in (eastern) suffolk. fm me if u want more info.
