Grooms gift

Did anyone or Is anyone getting a gift or even a card for their honey for the big day? I was thinking about it and I thought that you girls would have some good ideas...

I'm such a card person, so defintely a mushy, sentimental card. He's been wanting a Movado for the longest time, so if I can not break my budget I'll probably get him one.

WE were not going to do this because of money, BUT then FH was shopping for my b-day gift and apparently found something that I HAD TO HAVE, in his words. If we still don't have the money, I told him to wait till X-mas next year because he said it's really expensive. I wanted to get him something material, but he's not like that....so I might get him a weekend trip to Chicago to see the Cubs (he's a HUGE! fan). I also thought of a classic arcade system since he's a huge video gamer, but that might be out of my price range.

**But definitely doing a card.....

we have been thinking about it. Id like to get him a new watch or something, but we said we were trying to save the $ do I dont know

I got him a watch with our university (where we met) on it! Sentamental, not mega expensive either!

I designed a bracelet fo him with my jeweler and having it made in platinum and engraved inside with a message.....

my FI was all excited about the whole Mars thing this summer (how it was close to earth, etc) & really enjoys astronomy stuff. I was thinking of getting him a star through the international star registry. hope that's not too cheesy?

We decided not to exchange since we paid for our wedding ourselves. I forgot to get him a card, but he didn't forget to get one for me!

if we owned a house i was thinking it would be neat to buy a tree so that it would be as old as our marriage, but seeing as we don't yet have a house we are probably going to just get token gifts or do cards. i was thinking a pocket watch, but fh doesn't think he would use a pocket watch. we shall see.

I got FH a Tag Huer watch at a sample sale...saved alot of $$$$$. I'm going to have it engraved on the back...I have no idea what I want it to say though.
