I've decided to get my fiance a nice watch... but I'm confused with the timing. Do I give it to him soon? (We've been engaged for less than 1 month) or do I wait until closer to the wedding?
I was walking past a jewelery store in the mall the other day that was promoting something like 'he got you the ring, now your turn to get him something'.... and it got me thinking....

You can give it to him now.
I got my FH a gift after we got engaged and gave it to him than. I'm also going to be getting him a gift for the wedding.

We had already planned a trip to Vegas right before we got engaged, so I paid for him to go.
I will also be getting him a gift for the wedding.

I thought it was common to exchange gift at rehearsal dinner?

I'm having one of the groomsmen bring the present and a card to FH on the day of the wedding where they will all be getting ready.

since we are having a jewish ceremony, we have to spend some alone time together right after we are married, i am giving him his gift then!

I got DH a watch as an engagement present and gave it to him a week before our engagement party. This way we both had something new to wear to our e-party (mine being my ring)

Thanks guys... I guess I'm really impatient and don't want to wait that long. I'm pretty sure we're going to have an engagement party in lieu of my bridal shower (I'm not into that) so maybe I'll give it to him before that. If I did it at the Rehearsal Dinners, it isn't tacky to give it to him in front of everyone?
