Groomsmen Vs. Bridesmaids
For you, which group was easier to deal with?Less complaining, more supportive, more responsible with their duties... good bad experiences...

Re: Groomsmen Vs. Bridesmaids
neither really....the GM have done nothing....but the BMs are far away...so their involvement has been limited by default.

Re: Groomsmen Vs. Bridesmaids
I can't answer just because my bridesmaids have all been great and the groomsmen haven't complained about anything so far. I thought I was going to crap about the tux rental because they're kinda on the expensive side but they were fine with it.Everyone's been doing what they're 'supposed' to be doing without incident. I am lucky!

Re: Groomsmen Vs. Bridesmaids
Bridesmaides, but the groomsmen didn't really have to do anything but get measured for their tuxes and show up. They planned DH's bachelor party pretty much the week before, and only after I got on their case about it.

Re: Groomsmen Vs. Bridesmaids
This is going to sound terrible but I have to vent...I have one BM who has been CRAZY difficult. I'm convinced she views this whole this as a total inconvenience and although she hasn't really done anything outright horrible (yet) to push me over the edge, part of me thinks it would have been a whole lot easier if she would have just declined because I'm really starting to see her in a whole new light!
PS - And for the record, I am, by no stretch of the imagination, a difficult bride. I have, however, been procrastinating - haha!

See this is my point 'but the groomsmen didn't really have to do anything but get measured for their tuxes and show up. ' and i have heard mor B!tching from the groomsmen... dont like the vest color, the tux is not a traditional tux... (it doesnt have buttons and is mandrine collor... it is still black and how long do you wear the jacket) plan FH b-party 2 weeks before, last minute and i ask them if it can be coordinated to be the same day as mine since we are only in NY for 2 weekends and i would like us to have some flexibility visit family together and i get an attitude from them on how hard it was to pick a date.. ummm you've had months knowing when we are in NY.. i wanted to tell them go on vacation for 2 weeks with your GF/FI/WIfe and stay at seperate hotels and do things seperatly!
ANNNDDD. we've been nagging them to get measured for over a month now... they dont even need to be measured at 'the' tux shop, but whatever one is closest and convienent for them! not all of them are bad but definitly the guys giving me more issues... the girls have been a blessing! All of them! on top of that I am trying to plan from 3000 miles away!

Same for me. All the GM live locally and all the BM live over 500 miles away.

Re: Groomsmen Vs. Bridesmaids
I agree, bridesmaids probably are more difficult. I posted yesterday about a friend who is having a bad time with a BM. She did not participate in the showers, she did not pay for her gown (yet), and she is just bieng a pain, no participation in any of the wedding planning for that matter. I am afriad she will ditch the bride before the bride ditches her, now I am ready to go tell this girl to hand over the dress and get lost, but I am nice. I really want the brides day to go nicely, But, all in all women a harder to deal with. Sorry about the long post, I just needed to vent
