Grrr!

This is the first night I am making dinner in our new place and guess who is late. Dinner is spoiled. I give up. I should eat without him.

Maybe he got stuck at work. A lot of people have catching up to do after being gone for a long weekend!!

No. He is not stuck at work. Punctuality isn't his thing. He had to make a pit stop. But he would NEVER be late for one of his football games. He knew I was making dinner.

I made a healthy version of chicken parm, pasta (football shaped mind you) and salad. On any other night I wouldnt care but, it was our first dinner in OUR home that wasn't take out. HE asked me to cook so I did. Now the pasta is like sludge

Ohhh I'm sorry Leslie. I can totally sympathize. FH has no concept of time either & it drives me up the wall. I hate to say it but lately (I wait until he walks in & then say, what do you want to do about dinner). Doesn't it drive you crazy when they can make things like football or meeting up w/ the guys a priority but not being home to see their lovely fiance?

It took years of training, but now when I am cooking...he is home. If he doesn't answer me about what dinner plans may be, then he gets nothing.

that's exactly how I make it...I don't even bread mine. I marinate it in garlic and other yummy stuff, grill it for a few, then top it with pasta sauce (home made!!) and yummy cheese and bake it the normal way.

no one has missed the grease and bread one bit! it's yummy!
