I just tried to call my bridal salon to make an appointment for my first fitting in May, and they are not taking any appointments yet for April or May I need to make all my appointments NOW because I have everything for my sister's wedding coming up and I need this planned. That really annoyed me. And they only do fittings on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so what if all of those June and July brides book up? That's annoying

Re: GRRR, just got annoyed...
Is this Paradise Bridals?
Overall, I was happy with them
But, my dress didn't come in until the first week of September (I was getting married on the 1st of October).
So I was calling in August to see if my dress was in. The last week of August (dress still not in) I wanted to set up my fittings appointments. They said NO, not until the dress is in and you have until October until you are getting married.
I flipped!! I said I am getting married the 1st of October, the dress needs to be ready at least 2 days before the wedding. I need 3 fitting appointments, each week of September. There is no room for flexibility here, my wedding is a month away and I will be screwed if my dress is not here by at least the first week of September.
They let me make the appointments even though my dress wasn't in. My dress came in the following week (the first week of September).

It's not Paradise Bridal, but man, that must have been nerve-wracking for you! They've had my dress for a while, but I guess they just book as they go. Still annoying!

Ah, yes. Welcome to the world of Bridal Salons. When you're buying your gown they are so kind and accomodating but then when it's time for the fittings, they rear their ugly heads. I've found that most Bridal Salons had really inconvenient fitting schedule policies. They close early most days and no weekends either.
