GRRR men just don't get 'etiquette'!!!!

I'm trying to get FH to ask his mom to call this couple to get the womans last name. He says 'why can't you just address it Mr. First Last name and Firstname?' He doesn't understand why i get so caught up in what 'Other people' tell us to do. I mean he actually got mad cuz i said i refuse to address it that way!!!! It's just the way taht its done, and not to mention the way I want to do it!!!! PERIOD!!!! what is the big deal to find out her name??? IT's his MOMS friend!!!!

It's bad enough im addressing one invite to Mr. and Mrs. First Initial Lastname because his mother ignored all my requests to get her cousins husbands first name!!!!

ARGH!!!! Just had to vent!!! His mother is KILLING me lately!!!! and now he is!!!

Oh yeah! I'm with you on this one! Putting together the guest list was the worst part so far! My FI doesn't get it either. Last names, first names, who cares? Well, I DO!!! People notice when things aren't done 'properly', and it's always the bride who gets blamed!

no, FFIL is useless.
and we'll ask FMIL to do it, but i'm sure will give us some resistance and take her sweet time doing it!!!!
