I am getting so many no rsvp's!!! What is going on! I'm getting concerned about my headcount and really disapointed in some people...

I have the opposite problem. Apparently EVERYONE is saying yes. I have NO idea how FH and I are going to afford this....

Do you have a 'B' list? If you're getting so many No's start sending out a couple of your B list to hopefully make up for the minimum... HTH

Granted I want my friends and family there - but the more people are responding yes - the more FH & I are feeling the pressure...

Hence I'm at work doing overtime. At this point ANYTHING $$ wise in our pockets is acceptable...

I'm with you....I have a 50% 'no' rate....we're about 50 people below our minimum and no B list. I'm so disappointed in people. Definitely woke me up to people I thought were my friends at work.
I'm trying to get a table of LIW brides so that it's not a total waste of money...not much luck yet with brides who can or want to go....you could try that....


people tell me that the ones who show are the only ones who are important....I know it's true but it doesn't make me feel any better....i still want to cancel the reception but family and FH won't let me.

yea if you have a B list, why not add people!!

im with you...so far i have a 30% no rate. i didnt think it would happen. i invited almost 300 and it looks like 100 are saying no!!! my minimum is 200 and it looks like im gonna be on the edge.

just think about who is coming and you'll have a great time.

Well, you never know what is going to happen, but to give you a glimmer of hope ... we got a ton of yes replies at first. We invited 230, which was WAY over the 175 we wanted. I was conviced we were going to have 200 guests, and now we may just hit our minimum of 160! A ton of no replies have started coming in, but I'm happy about it. I won't have time to talk to 200 guests, and could definitely stand to save some $$$ on those 40 other guests!

I'm sorry it's getting you down, but you may be able to get your hall to throw in some extras or have them offer second dishes to people.

I'm trying to look at it as a positive - less people to greet, less $$$ on the hall, more space on the dancefloor

my 'no' rate was about 36%!! there were lots of friends that we invited 'and guest' and practically none of them are bringing a guest. I'm 11 people below my minimum. We invited 211 on the first round and then another 10, I think, the 2nd round and we ended up with 139! I knew this would happen though because FH is from San Diego and all of his friends and family are cheap. We knew they wouldn't come, but my parents were CONVINCED they would. FH has 11 people coming to the wedding - that's it. Even two groomsmen backed out in the past two weeks because they didn't want to make the trip (granted, they both went to his Vegas bachelor party, but then told him the next week that, oh yeah, btw, we're not coming to the wedding. ***?!?! who does that?! but that's a whole other story)

i'm sorry you're going through the same problems!!! hopefully it'll work out for you!
