I think you should put your foot down and just declare which dress it is going to be. I know you think you are making life easier for them by letting them have a say, but really you are just making life difficult for yourself since they can't seem to agree.

Ahhhhhhhh the joys of planning a wedding. I think I'll be in the same boat next year. I am worried though, if you are having a problem with only four girls I can onlt imagine what kind of situation I will be in with 8. I actually already thought about just picking the designer and color and having them decide which dresses they want (even if they are all different) I am sure everything will turn out fine though. Good luck

Re: grrrrrr

I thought I was being really nice by letting them pick whatever dress... they all agree on the color but they didnt really have a choice b/c I had my heart set on it. They all think its stupid to have different dresses.... so I put my foot down and said this is the dress... one doesnt care ( shes to young to care) my sis loves it, my bestfriend is not crazy about it at all and my fsil says shes gunna have to loose a tun of weight for it to look good but she'll go try it on and see how it looks.

Re: grrrrrr

I picked the Bill Levkof Style 402, and My bridesmaids all loved it maybe you could sugest another dress all together that you love and make them get it.

Same here...I thought having only two girls would be easy...boy was I wrong! One wants a halter the other wants to wear something that covers her entire body!! ARgh!!! So I put my foot down and I picked the one I would want to wear!

Re: grrrrrr

i eliminated the problem by telling them the dress and the color. i already put the dresses order in the shop and all they have to do is get fitted.

If they can't make up their minds, then you have to make it up for them! You're the boss, so you have final say! I say put your foot down and pick the one you like.....

That is what I am going to I just decided!

MY FSIL's are driving me insane as is. They are not into this sort of thing yet they would have been offended if I didn't ask them. Geeezzzzz!!!!

Re: grrrrrr

I have 4 BMs and thought I was being the laid-back bride by letting them choose the style and color (within the pink family) - it was a disaster. Looking back,I was trying wayyy too hard to make everyone else happy and not be a bridezilla - but you also leave too much room for negotiation and backbiting and sniping - you need to take a stand and say this is the color I want, maybe give them a choice of 2 dress styles (so they get some kind of say in the decision) and call it a day. If they don't like it, tough. One thing I've learned through this wedding planning process is that there are too many people involved in this event to go out of you r way and make each one happy. It's one day and one dress, there's no reason for there to be such drama over something like this. Sorry you're going through this but trust me, it will be over in a few weeks and there will be something else to drive you crazy..good luck!!!!

Re: grrrrrr

That's exactly why I choose the dress with my MOH. If you do pick the dress yourself, just make sure that it flatters all sizes. Good luck.

Re: grrrrrr

why does it have to be Bill Levkofff... maybe they can find a different dress
or i was talking to one of my BM last night and she said it is really up to you because it is your wedding but i want them all to be comfortable

since you gave thema chance already.. you pick it now if they cant agree

i posted one of my favorites... i found it last night but i would have it in black
just a suggestion

Re: grrrrrr

I tried to let my MOH choose, but she is taking too long to goto a store & start looking ( she is oot)
So, I picked 3 in Davids, and asked her to pick 1 of them.
She wants to try them on, but hasn't gone yet.
I'm not good at waiting for other people.
But I don't really have a preference between them, & so I want her to pick one she thinks is flattering.

Its is really holding everything else up.

It's your wedding, they agreed to be in it. You are entitled to pick out the dress!
