>>>*QOTD 1/6/14*<<<

Good morning lovely brides.

It is finally our year! With all the busy planning we've all been doing in preparations for the big day,
have you had time to ponder what the next step is?

For us its living together which I very much look forward to lol. FI is from the South and raised in a Christian family so he's oldschool in some aspects. Although we have plenty of sleepovers at each others' apartments, we have not made it to that step. Some of it has to do with our career locations, his residency program is out in Suffolk and mine is here in Brooklyn, but also his preference is to wait till marriage till we move in.

FH and I have been living together for over 3 years now so for us the next step will be to enjoy married life together! (And for me to bask in joy of having dental insurance again! )

We don't want to have kids right away so we're going to keep traveling and see as much of the world as we can before we decide the time is right for having beautiful babies!

We already live together for the past three years. So the next step would be saving up for a house and babies :)

We moved in together in September. It's been a lot of fun & i truly love it! I guess our next step will be to finish making our place really feel like a home. With the holidays we kind of put decorating on the back burner. We plan to save up over the next two years & hopefully buy a house. We'd like to wait 3 years to start having a family. Lets hope I can hold out that long

Re: >>>*QOTD 1/6/14*<<<

The next step for us would be to get settled into our own place together. His parents are considering doing construction on the home to make it a two family. A huge part of me wants to move out of NYC but I don't want to raise a family apart from our family. (Which is the next, next step lol)

Re: >>>*QOTD 1/6/14*<<<

We've been living together for 4 years now (wow!), so the next steps are to start saving for an overpriced Long Island home (I've been trying to get FH to go back to my old neighborhood in Bklyn, but thats not working) and trying to get preggers. FH is probably most looking foward to getting on my health insurance....and trying to make a baby

Next step for us will be enjoying married life together and saving up for a house. We unfortunately live back with my parents right now while we are paying for the wedding and we are trying to put as much as we can away for a house as well. After the wedding is over we will see where we are at money wise and see if house hunting right away is doable or not. We don't want to have kids right away we want to have the house first and get situated.

We've been living together for the last 8 years (omg, I didn't realize it was that long until I just wrote it!), we have a daughter and we own a home. I'm actually looking forward to just living. Just the three of us, in our little house, quietly. My FMIL lives with us now and I've finally put my foot down and said she has to go by the summer. So after the craziness of planning and the actual wedding, I'm looking forward to just regular life. LOL.

Re: >>>*QOTD 1/6/14*<<<

we've been living together for 2 1/2 years so we will just enjoy being married, travel as much as we can and eventually have babies. we are in no rush though a few of my friends seem to wanna rush us, along with some family members who are like OMG BABIES COME ON!

we also live with my dad so we aren't sure if we will stay here or FH can try to get a job out of state somewhere and we will move. it's so expensive here. one day when my dad is gone I can't imagine us being able to afford this house so most likely we're going to try to move..... which is so hard considering I love NY more than any place in the world and can't even imagine not living here.

my friend put up a status today on FB prediction in 10 years long island will be nothing but rich people & old people lol.

Re: >>>*QOTD 1/6/14*<<<

FH and I have been living together for 3 years so I am looking forward to a baby!! If it were up to me I'd be pregnant already but FH said not until were married...thankfully i'll be ovulating on our wedding night

We are currently renting but don't plan on buying a home in NY. My Mom is moving to NC in July so we are moving into her house and just have to pay the bills.so I guess i'm looking forward to not paying rent too. FH will retire in 4 years and then we will move to NC too.

we just bought a home and should hopefully be closing in March. We have some work to do to the house (some walls we want to knock down, finishing the basement), and hope to have it move-in ready by right before the wedding. After the wedding, our next step is to try to get some more work done on the home without breaking the bank!

FH and I have lived together for 3 years now, and we recently moved to NC where we both found our real grown up careers. So our next move is to just be for a little while! This is the first year together that we haven't been college or graduate students..and we are paying for a wedding..so as materialistic as it sounds, I plan on spending a couple of years wasting money on us! Vacations, christmas presents, fancy dinners out-with a glass or wine or two- things we rarely if ever get to do. After that, we will save for a home and think about babies, but thats a long way down the line!
