For the Mommies and Mommies-to-be....

I felt this was getting 'buried' on the older pages, and there was not much response to my idea, so I am starting a new thread.

Niha had asked for a location not much further east than Roosevelt Field area and I think that is fine, since most of the Mommies in Suffolk would probably be willing to drive, right?

How would you ladies feel about doing a little picnic in Eisenhower Park? We could 'camp out' around the kids play area and put the kids on the swings/slides.

The 'rainy day' contingency plan can be a stroll through the Source Mall and lunch at the food court, or nearby restaurant?

I dont think I can make this date.
If we do a weekday, I think I have lots more flexibilty

hey gals, not to confuse you even more BUT, I will be on Long Island from August 2 to August 10 or so and would LOVE to be able to get together with you all! Any day is fine except 8/8, as that is my sisters wedding day!

If this isn't do-able, that's fine too!!

Well, I don't know what changed so fast, but the other day, just about everyone was saying 8/17 was a good day.

Anna - I am always open to weekdays, but Phyl really wanted to be included and weekdays would leave her out again.

I'm pretty flexible in terms of dates, except for 8/10 when we'll be upstate visiting my in-laws. Since Lyla is so young and doesn't really like being strapped in the car seat, it's all trial and error with me and taking her out--where, when, how, etc.

I do like the idea of a picnic in Eisenhower, or even strolling in the mall.

I wish I could go, but I have Lamaze that weekend! I'll be the big whale who can't get up off the floor!!

I just remembered that its my dads birthday that week and most likely one of us has a little 'dinner celebration' that sunday, so i didnt want to wind up cancelling at the last minute.
