Guess what FH's mother & stepmother are wearing to the wedding.

FH's sister recently emailed me and said that FH's mother (I don't like referring to her as FMIL) is wearing a short red dress that she already has. His sister said 'I have no say so in this' F. Her.

His stepmother is wearing black palazzo pants with a silver blouse.

They both wore long gowns to the sister's wedding which was 6 years ago. My mom passed away so there will be no one in a gown, but I guess they don't care. So be it, I really don't care, I'll be in one pic with them. (I will request that).

Thats great that they are already set and the wedding is 11 months away.

Just wanted to update, we are having a nice reception at a RH. Its not like the wedding is in a house.

That stinks im sorry people are so wierd and caught up in themselves just try to ignore it and enjoy your day.

that is pretty awful - but you know what? when they come to your wedding and see other relatives and even friends wearing gowns - THEY are the ones who will feel ugly and gross. . .and good for them! i mean they dont have to wear ball gowns or anything, but to make no effort at all is just terrible

dont worry what everyone else is wearing -no one will even notice since they will be staring at the beautiful bride!

put them in the back in all pics.....this way u cant even tell what they have on! Takes some balls if u ask me to do that too u! ppl can just be so messed up!

I am sorry this is happening to you. I agree with the poster before who said that they will feel bad when all their relatives and friends are in gowns!

I am sorry that you have to deal with that. I know you may not want to but did you ever talk to them about this? It is a hard situation but don't worry no one will be looking at them!

At my girlfriend's wedding, the MOG wore a short slinky dress with illusion netting snaked around her breasts. COMPLETELY inappropriate.

She thought she was being spiteful to the bride, but sooo many people where whispering and looking at her that SHE was the one who felt like a moron in the end. During Mother/Groom dance she kept reaching around to tug on her hemline.

I actually felt sorry for her.

Don't worry - they will both feel like dingbats if they choose not to dress appropriately.

YOU - on the other hand - will look gorgeous and gracious and like a STAR!

try not to let this bother u. i have a feeling i will have the same prob with FH mom. She has no idea about how this wedding stuff goes and has never heard of an engagement party. she will probobly get something from jc pennys to wear.
