my mother in law gets me zero and she doesnt even include my name on the card she sends my dh. i have never done anything to this woman and if anything only helped improve her sons life so i dont know what her problem is lol okay vent over

my MIL is FAMOUS for getting random, unnecessary gifts....last year she got DH Electronic Battleship because one night during dinner he reminisced about it as a kid.....
I'll let you know how this year turns out since we sent her a VERY detailed list

We got her this jewelry armoire thing that she has wanted for years. Of course I did all the leg work and ordered it but DH took the credit for it.
What ever I am over it. I dont get upset over this stuff anymore.

well...my mom got my dh an umbrella for christmas...but it's a big expensive golf umbrella..and he really wanted one b/c his old one met an uncertain fate...and it's part of a bunch of gifts...so...i guess it's not the same thing.

Hey, at least it was your mil. My mom got me for Chanukah a scarf. I HATE scarfs. and the sad thing is she knows this. but I didnt say anything ot her and bit my lip.

My MIL has been the same way ever since I had the first grand child and being a old fashioned Italian family it had its perks. but there are plenty of downfalls to with that.

AMEN!!! Considering she didn't speak to me until I was seven months along, the politeness is very faked/forced in my case. I do it because of the baby, otherwise we still would be at odds.
