Guest 'Book'

Original post by lilmrs

I do not want to do a traditional guest book. I know I there have been some other, more creative ideas floating around these boards. Please share again.

Thanks!

I think that for our 'guest book' we are going to buy a silver tray, and then have an engraving tool, so that people can engrave the tray. We figure that it will be functional, as well as a conversation piece and nice reminder whenever we use it.

on the wedding channel message board there are a lot of tips and tricks on doing the engraving plate. do a search and check it out!

We are doing the guestbook that I bind into a book later and each couple has to write, draw, share whatever.

Re: Guest 'Book'

in our invites we asked guests to bring a picture of them with thebride and/or groom...(ala Martha)

we bought a beautiful book/journal...with acid free handmade paper...had double-sided tape and had the guests tape in the pictures (staples has photosafe double sided tape)

for guests that forgot...we had a polaroid camera...that even the photographer and video guy used and signed our guestbook...

I got pictures of me when I was a little girl...and different stages of growing up with me and 2 friends...and a picture of me with friends the night I met DH!!

having a friend be in charge of the guestbook...is really important...I didn't and although we had a lot of people sign...not nearly all the guests...which I would have liked...

KC, you can buy the guestbook at www.guestbookstore.com

The service is really good and they are nice as well. They have another option of a different page as well, these particular ones I chose.

Good Luck!

Re: Guest 'Book'

i saw a silver plated platter / tray, which the bride had left out, and a very small etching tool, for each person to sign in. The couple can keep the tray. I thought it was different
