My checklist is telling me its time to get my guest book. I am not sure that I need one. It seems like a waste.
Any thoughts on this?

Re: Guest Book
i'm not having one either .... if you want one, you should do something 'different' like a wish bowl or photo booth scrapbook or something ....

Didn't have one. I figured anyone wanted to write something, would have done so in the card.

Re: Guest Book
We might just have a record from INXS (our first dance song) for people to sign...FH has a HUGE record collection, was a dj, and we are both sooo into music so we figured it would work well!

Re: Guest Book
i had a signature platter. it's in my album. it was amazing. we got it custom made saying Lauren and Michael and the date of our wedding, then everyone signed it and we can bake it for a half hour which embosses them on the platter forever. you can even cook with it!! (not that we will lol but that's how well it works.) FM me for info!

Re: Guest Book
I did one but a good friend made it for us so it was special.....
i pic from the wedding of our guest bok and an epic on the table when you first walk into the wedding!
I bought a coffee table book that has pictures of famous weddings from around the world and over the past century or so and I put it out with a ton of sharpies and asked people to sign it like it was a yearbook -- draw all over the pages, and write whatever they want.
It came out really cute. Even if I look at it twice ever, I'm still glad I did it, and it gave people something to do when for the 15 minutes between the ceremony and the cocktail hour (or if they were sick of eating at any point).
I had seen the book at a store in Brooklyn for $50 and went on amazon and got it for something crazy... like $1.50 or $3 or something. That's why I ended up doing it.

I don't think we will do a traditional guest book, because I feel like people never sign them. We might do a wish bowl or a wish tree or something.

Re: Guest Book
We used a wedding tree - everyone stamped their fingerprint as a leaf and signed it. People loved it and it's hanging in our livingroom. It was one of my favorite things at my wedding.
