Guest Book Ideas

Do you ladies know what you are doing for a guest book yet? I haven't figured out what I want to do yet. I don't plan on using our engagement photos to make a book, I want something different.

Any ideas?

I've seen a few cute ideas on Etsy..Like the puzzle pieces, or a frame and you have individual hearts that everyone writes a message & drops them inside (only thing the most hearts I have seen is 80), and at the end it becomes a frame you can hang up at home.

I've been researching this a lot. Look on Pinterest. They have a ton of great ideas!

I was thinking about the puzzle too, but I'm not paying $300 for a freakin puzzle. I found a regular blank puzzle online for about $30 but it's shaped like a square - which I can deal with.

I've also seen the finger print tree which is really cute.

We aren't doing a guest book. I had heard it was outdated and that people don't really write in them so I figured I would save the little bit of money. I was disappointed hearing that isn't common anymore. :(

I bought a mad libs guest book card PDF on etsy... I can't find the printable version that I bought, but it looks like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/89165632/50-fun-wedding-guest-libs?ref=sr_gallery_6&ga_search_query=guest+libs&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_ref=auto2&ga_explicit_scope=1&ga_search_type=handmade

then I just got a box for the cards so that everyone can fill them out and throw them in the box :)

This. At my sister's shower, half the people didn't sign the book. I went around a couple of times and they still didn't sign. I feel at a wedding everyone just wants to talk, eat and drink.

I'm either going to just do like a photo guest book if we end up having a photo booth, or I'd like to do the tree. I don't want anything that people can write too much, after seeing some of the comments FHs friends wrote on our postcards at our engagement party (we did a suitcase with little postcards and I'm going to bind them together). Not that anything was so inappropriate, but for something that I'm going to keep forever, I'd prefer not to see any pictures of crude drawings or male body parts written anywhere on it. Lol.

Since I got engaged in Disney my friends gave me a figurine of a bride Mickey and Minnie in a car. Since one of my friends is a really talented artist I'm having her paint this figurine on a large canvas and I will be having my guest sign that.

I don't think I'm going to do one
My brother and sil had one and it was a waste of money
No one signed it.

I love the fingerprint tree!! FH not so much--he's convinced it will just create a mess. I haven't put much thought into this otherwise.

I'm not sure what I'm doing yet but I really want to do a calendar when everyone marks their birthday. I think just a happy birthday is so nice and I can never collect them all!

I love this idea too and my friend is doing this at her wedding in October. She ordered a fancy diaper wipe box from Etsy and she's going to have baby wipes right next to the tree :)

I'll be using my photobooth as the guest book! Its part of my package and I don't have to worry about it!

I saw somewhere where they had a game of Jenga and the guests signed the blocks...

I plan on having a photo booth...more like a back drop, and then having guests paste their pics in a nice book with a little note. A little more fun then a guestbook.

We ordered a fingerprint tree from etsy and it came out really cute! I haven't decided if I wanted to do an actual guest book or not - I figure that I'm going to save all the cards we get and turn them into something to display and that's pretty much the same thing except people actually have time to think about what they want to write!

We are doing wine bottles with personalized labels that say 1,5,10,15,20. You have your guest sign in metallic marker and then you open the bottles on you anniversary,

I am doing a guestbook full of wedding mad libs.. These are going to be so funny to read (probably on the plane ride to our honeymoon)

Take a look on etsy or on google.

A guest book comes with our Photobooth. Two copies are printed of each pic. The gues gets one and the other is glued into a guest book and the guests can sign next to it. If this wasn't thrown in wit the Photobooth though we probably wouldn't have done one.
