I've been to a number of weddings upstate that instead of doing a guest book had an enlarged photo set inside a poster board frame that guests signed the frame. I've late seen said photo/posters framed and hung in these friends' homes.... what are the thoughts?
i love the signed frames they have the metal ones to but i am not sure how good they are when people use the special pens to sign

We are doing a guest book and possibly a picture board too
we're doing a picture board - it comes with the photo package. Don't want to do a guest book cuz i myself never know what to write in them when I go to weddings so I don't want to put that on my guests. i feel like with the poster at least, it can be kept to a minimum

I didn't know that they had metal frames!!!! What kind of pen would you use on it?

It comes with a metal pen that when written on this silverish board it almost looks etched from what I can tell. I saw it when I went to have shoes dyed at davids bridal and I saw it in another weddng store that I can't remember the name. But its just like the white poster board ones with the pic in the middle except in silver. Weddingfavorsunlimited.com has them and if u amazon or Google metal signature mat you can find personalized frames for around 100 and they have different sizes depending on no. Of guest. we are doing a guestbook but ours is just a photo album of our e-pics and we left space for people to sign.
My cousin did a poster board and that thing sat in my mother's house collecting dust for months!! She said she didn't want to hang it because it looked tacky and took to much space. For that reason, I am doing a guestbook which is really an album of my epics (not taken yet). I saw samples and they are HOT! It gives guests a chance to see the epics, sign their names, and it is easy to store!
We should be doing Guest Book & The Wishin Tree.
