Yea I agree my friends will proab write things that only my and my FH could see!

I think it is dumb, i feel that you know who is coming to your wedding, why do you need a guest book

i didn't care....guest books remind me of funerals...my mom wants to have it...so why not? i don't think anyone will sign it...

Not doing a guest book, but I've seen other ideas. We are doing two adirondack chairs that the guests can sign with sharpie and we will use since we live on the water. I attached a pic.
We are continuing the theme with our cake toppers and place cards as well.

Ive signed guestbooks at wedding, people keep them as keepsakes plus it helps with Thank You cards.

I'm not having one, and I've never been to a wedding with one. I don't like them b/c not everyone signs it so you only get a portion of the guests that sign it. Plus, I think ppl feel like 'Oh brother, what do I have to write in this thing?!' JMO, but I'm not a fan of them. HTH!

we are going to use something for everyone to sign.... most likely a guitar or something like that since FH will use it.

but i highly dobt we are going to use a traditional guest book.

eh, we arent having one. i dont think its tacky, but i do think that most ppl either wont know you have one, or will know but will never sign it. I was gonna say i've never been to a wedding where they had one, but more realistically, i never noticed.

I'm not using a guest book...I've never saw one at weddings either, so you're NOT alone...LOL... but I AM having a wish bowl that my Mom got for me. Just need to find a nice pen to keep next to it. LOL

In the 15 weddings I have been to I think only one didn't have it, or something like it. I am having something, not sure if it will be a book, but something. One idea I like is based on an Asian Tradition where people right notes on cards and hang them from a tree. There are lots of cool variations of a guest book.
