My FH and I are paying for our wedding. We would like to keep the guest list to 180 or under. We made a list. Do we ask our parents to make a list too? What if their lists make our 180 go to 300??? I don't want to insult anybody. Has anybody else had this problem?? TIA!

I made some assumtions to whom my parents would invite. FMIL's list was 130 with Family! She has a lot of friends, but she is paying for her ginormous list. Otherwise she wouldn't be able to invite all of those people. GL!

You can ask them but tell them they need to limit it. You are bearing the burden. FH and I are paying too and we asked the parents if they wanted to invite anyone and they on;y added 25 people.. Surprisingly
