Hey everyone. I am realtively new to this site, and haven't posted much, but have been visiting it more often now that our wedding is quickly approaching. You girls are great and have such wonderful ideas to share.
Fh and I have been finalizing our guest list this evening and it's been a stressful process. We have to get our list to the calligrapher this week, so we are under pressure. We can't seem to get our list down to a reasonable number. It's more FH than me, he has about a million people he 'has' to invite. Our hall only comfortably accomadates 200 and he has over a 100 on his list alone and can't seem to cut anyone. ughhhh...he's driving me crazy...lol. Anyone else experience this stress while finalizing your lists?

OMG no one uderstands how my FH is with the guest list!!! I can't stand it! He is inviting everyone he ever met!! Not even knows, just met... He 'has' to invite the people from the local post office and pizzeria b/c they watched him 'grow up'!!! Grrr thats sooo annoying!!!

That's so funny b/c that's almost the same exact words FH said to me....'I can't invite -----, I know them my whole life!' But yet....I've never even met half these people????? Ok...good, at least I'm not the only one....lol.

Our list is 230 & our hall room only holds 180...I hope we get alot of NO's!! I am sooooooooo nervous.

yes, my FH is like that, we had many many arguments, and he finally realized he cannot invite some of them. I see no sense in inviting people he hasnt even spoken to in 5 yrs.

My FH started making his list and I was typing in the names, etc. and I was like 'what's his last name?' and he'd say 'oh, I'm not sure' or 'I don't know how to spell it' and he knew NO ONE's girlfriend's/wive's names. I eventually asked 'when was the last time you spoke with these people' and it was like, 10 years!!!! They were eliminated, but it was so funny. I was like 'if you don't know their name, you don't need to invite them . . . . I think that's a pretty good rule of thumb!!'

make an A and a B list .... don't send out std's to any of the B list people...send out the A list early and only start sending out the B list invited when u see that you would have the room !!

Yes, FH is inviting EVERYONE... enough already! ha! Isn't it bad enough that MORE then half is just his family?! LOL. Well, now we finally have a LIMIT that we CANNOT go over...soo... tough..no more inviting left and right lol
