Okay ladies, I think I have figured out the most stressful part of the wedding planning for me...making the guest list!!!! All this proper etiquette is annoying me. I can't invite one cousin that I am close with, unless you invite your other cousins because that will look bad. BLAH BLAH BLAH. Fh wants to invite anyone who's wedding we were invited to in a 5 year radius, although we don't even talk to these people! I had to put the pen down and walk away. Ughhhh!

I need to finalize my guest list in the next couple weeks. I want to get my STD's in the mail in the next month or so, so FH and I need to determine our definite A-list. Not looking forward to it at all.

Oh yes, good luck with this! We received our parents lists and both sides were like, oh, well, if you have more room, we have some more people we would like to invite. Are ya kidding?

FIL keep adding people to the list. Hellloooo -- did they miss the memo that you have less say when it is your son's wedding vs. your daughters? We wanted a smallish wedding... no more than 200 ppl. We're up to 275 invites!! WTH!

I looked at it like this after putting together a guest list of 225 people - who do i speak with on a regular basis? who would i invite to my daughters parties, etc. So i came up with 175 people which is how many people i am inviting.... HTH

This has been the ONLY stressful thing for me so far, but we finally finalized our list, and :::drumroll::: it's at 275!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Wow, thats alot but it will be so much fun! I went to a wedding with 300 people and it was awesome with everyone up and dancing! Ours seems to be more on the lines of 230 invited. We have to guarantee 175 so I think this is a far amount. Man, I always thought my sisters were being dramatic about the guest list, NOW I understand!

That's how I'm trying to look at it! We guaranteed 225, I hate saying this but I'm praying for no's. We can afford to have the 275, but our room holds 300. I hope it doesn't look like a cluster fcuk!
