Guest List Drama - question....(kinda long)

Guest List Drama - question....(kinda long)

I had a small group of friends at work.
They were invited to my engagement party over a year ago, I sent them save the dates, and they were on my shower invite list.

One of the girls already said she wasn't coming to the wedding, and the other one was on the fence (it is a destination wedding).

In the past couple of months, the relationships have taken a turn for the worse. Today, one of the girls snubbed me in the hall! There is basically a lot of drama that I'm trying to detach myself from.

I know both of these girls are not coming to my bridal shower.

The question is, do I still send them an invite to the wedding (even after the snub?) or do I just not invite them?

TIA

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that! I probably wouldn't send them an invite. I'm all about cutting poisonous friendships out of my life... There's no reason why you can't just be coworkers now.

Thanks for the reply. I know etiquette-wise I should send them an invite, but I don't want to deal with the added drama.

I've recently changed positions in the company and moved to a different floor, so my contact with them is limited.

I think etiquette goes out the window when they 1. tell you they can't make it anyway and 2. snub you.

I think you are ok to not invite, especially if the relationships have soured. If you think you want to repair them at all, I'd send it, but sounds messy.

i understand the annoyance of the drama but i say be the bigger person & invite them..let THEM say no. that being said, i will also say that if the drama is so bad that ur actually not talking to each other THEN i wouldn't send the invite...because it would just be stupid..just on the depth of the situation i guess!

I had drama with a family friend and now I am not inviting them, even though they were invited to the bridal shower...so its ok not to invite them, she didn't apologize, so I wouldn't if I were you...good luck!

I think you should be the bigger person, as someone said, and send the invitations. They probably won't come anyway, but then they can't use that as something to gossip about later. Just my opinion.
