I just finished my final guest list. I am going to jump off the roof.
I am 60 people over budget. I am prayingggggg to god every night from today until 9-10-11 that the 20% decline rate happens to me.
Come on OOTers, cousins ive never met, people i dont like.. please stay home! ETA : And friends who feel the need to bring their random flavor of the week to my shindig. Please stay home also.

Hahaha, I'm in the same boat. I've had a few people say they can't come bc of various reasons (other weddings, work) and I'm like YESSSSS!!!!!. I get more excited when they say no than yes.

I hear ya, it's so bad, we high five when we get a no! We love our guests and all, but that whole decline rate thing isn't working in our favor...

We just kept ours down. We are at 122. We aren't inviting people we've never met or haven't seen in 10 years. No reason for them to be there. It's a wedding not a family reunion. Do you HAVE to invite them? Make them the B list.

Im freaking out too. Our list is at 260 and Im worried that we will get too many declinations because of OOT guests and older people. My hall has a minimum requirement of 200 so i am hoping we can keep it over 200.

I just got FMIL's list, and she only had 30 people, so I was like 'Oh, we are ok'. Then I realize she left off people-like relatives! So we went from being 'right on target' to 'completely over budget'

Good luck!!! I feel your pain too! Our min. is 125 and we wanted 150 at the MOST. Our final invite count was 204
We are hoping some more no's from those unknown family members and etc. start rolling in.....

We guaranteed 50. Our list grew and we invited 120, 99 of whom are coming. This includes a few OOT and 16 who are friends of my father
