Guest list...... omg.....

so finally after getting our final guest list together tonight if everyone came & brought dates it'd be 336!!!!!!!! now like I'd say about 50 or even more are from out of town and might not even come.

how many people should be invited if you want 150 or around there? I hope a lot of people say no and we now have an A,B and D list lol. we can't even fit that many people in our room.

we also cut out dates for a lot of people so that should bring it down..... hope people don't get upset about that but most of our friends know each other & only cut out those who are single anyway.

this is what happens when I let my mom take over the guest list. she literally invited 2nd cousins she never met because she talks to them on facebook and they are nice.....

I invited 194. So far I have 97 yes and 8 no. I am PRAYING people have plans on Dec. 7. I do not want more than 150.

I just got everything together for our STDs and we have 187 on the list... and I have to send out 108 STDs...

Thats WITHOUT plus ones ... its ridiculous. Our venue only holds 200 people!

I. saw one bride invited like 240 and only 160! which I. thought was really low! I've heard the norm is 20% won't come. but I don't know what affect the out of town guests will have! I got a hall that well
will. easily hold every last person I have known but I'm still holding out on the min of 175!! so I have allot of thinking to do too! right now I'm thinking 225 for my min

my problem is with the exception of a few cousins on fh side that I don't really know I know everyone very well so most will def say yes!! or at l east I think!

not to throw a curve ball your way.... don't count on out of town guest not coming... my mom's cousin got married in PR and thought bc she didnt ever meet her fh they wouldn't go and my parents and grandparents went! good luck!!

most of my family is down south and very cheap. I went down there for my bachelorette party & they wouldn't come out 2 nights! they only came out one to go to dinner and they complained the entire time and argued over the bill. my two girls from NY were in complete shock watching them argue over things down to the last cent lol. around here when we go to dinner just split the bill 3 ways etc. they wanted to pay for only exactly what they ate.... besides my favorite 2 aunts down there and my closest cousin I can't imagine anyone else coming but who knows lol.

We invited 208 and had about 125 people show up (we were surprised at certain people that said no). It really depends on your friends/family.

that was us! or at least we were the same.... we really dont know who didnt come if we think back. no one was missing :)

We have 264 on our list and are hoping for around 200. How many are you inviting with dates? We limited it to those that we knew were in serious relationships and everyone in the BP.

We're inviting 192 and our minimum is 140 - I would be THRILLED to be at the minimum but according to that 20% rule we may end up right around 154. I guess you just never know until the RSVPs start coming in... if your hall won't hold that many people I would definitely start inviting people without guests! If I were you I'd start by inviting 200 and see if you meet your minimum with your A-list.

Also keep in mind that your wedding like mine is right after the holidays so people might be out of town or just coming back from a vacation and may not want to travel again... just a thought.... Although I haven't gotten back one NO yet.. starting to get a little nervous LOL

We are inviting around 170 and our minimum is 125. I'd love to be under 140. I always hear the 20% rule, but everyone is different, I think. Hopefully you're correct in that a lot of your OOTers won't come, for your sake!

I am starting with an A list of who must come. then depending on that inviting a B list. I rather upset strangers I don't know then my close friends/family. most OOT are people who don't even know me. are they really gonna wanna travel for my wedding? lol. I hope they don't.

people should be broke after Christmas miss my wedding lol.
