we invited 285 and ended up with 165. With FH line of work many guys and their wives could not come so we expected it. However there were certain people we were very shocked that didn't come.

We have to guarantee 150 and were inviting 180.. I'm worried that we're not
going to meet our minimum but we also don't want to go way over our minimum either..

We are inviting around 130 people, hoping our last count for 110 which is our min! If go less than 110 we still have a B list.

We invited 215 and ended up with 164 guests. It really depends on your friends and family and what else they have going on.

we're inviting 280 and planning on having about 200 at the wedding... we didn't invite everyone with guests though- I know that etiquette says that over a certain age that people should be invited with a guest, but we are only inviting BP with dates, and people who have been dating over 1 year or are engaged

def depends on the family i invited 205 people and having about 140. that was about 35% no. I was def suprised how many nos i recieved and a bit disappointed..but you know what i guess it matter that you haev the most important people there and that is it. But i would say there is no rule of thumb def depends on the family/friends.

Everyone says to plan for a lot of unexpected yes' but I would say the opposite. I invited 215 people figuring I'd have around 195. Well here I am a week before the RSVP date with only about 8 people left to respond and I only have 157 yes'. I had a lot more no's than I expected.

I really hope that happens to me. I've been arguing all day with family trying to cut guest list and just no one seems to want to lol. then my divorced parents are arguing who pays for the extra I mean since my mom invited more people but it's like it all adds up not just her guests....... *sighs*
