Are you girls assuming that all of your guests are going to yes in your budget planning for your RH?
If all of my guests say yes then I need to save an extra 5-6k!
ugh..

Re: Guest list question
no im not assuming that, i think its a little unrealistic to assume that unless your having a very small intimate wedding

Re: Guest list question
No, usually 15-20% of people say no. We're actually budgeting out list to be our minimum so that we dont go too crazy on the list and our money doesn't hurt.

Re: Guest list question
I'm assuming my minimum guaranteed only come for budget purposes. If too many more then that come, we are f*cked financially

Re: Guest list question
Nope. I budgeted for my minimum (200), but I'm assuming 220 will come. I'll have to play around with the budget to account for the other 20 people.

Re: Guest list question
I'm actually glad that I haven't gotten my epics yet cuz I gotta figure out this guest list before I send out my std's.
I'm REALLY afraid most people are going to say yes. The only people I know will say no are out of state people who are disabled.
ugh

Our minimum is 150, we're at 179 now and think we may hit 185. Praying to God only 150 come... budgeting for 185 though.

Re: Guest list question
i am assuming that all of our guest say yes for things like favors, thank you card & the such.
my parents are basing their budget off how many we guaranteed which was 110. our guest list is up at 130.
i am thinking that we are going to get 10 No's so i sat my parents down this weekend & told them to start budgeting for 120. my mom of course but my dad said something like don't worry it will all be taken care of.
i know that the money for the wedding came out of a CD so maybe there was more then what my mother told me.

Re: Guest list question
I know you're *supposed* to assume all guests are coming, but let's be real. I know they're not. We're inviting about 180-190 and hoping for 150-160.

We're inviting 340 and are assuming that 300 will show. Our minimum guarantee is 250 but we are budgeting for 300

Re: Guest list question
Our min is 200 but we are hoping for 220-240. But we are inviting 300. (FML)
I went through the guest list with my mom and she suggested adding a 'Yes/No' column -- and we filled it out based upon how we think people will respond.

I'm assuming almost all of FH's guests will show (Indian ppl love a wedding) but I'm only assuming 80% of my guests will show.

Nope...I know quite a few will not be able to make it, but want to extend the invitation anyway.
