Guest List question......Long

OK, here goes, so bare with me. My FH is a contractor, and he deals with many people in the industry on an everyday basis. Subcontractors, other builders, architect's, etc. We've done our guest list and invited those that we feel he has worked with and known for a long time. (over 20 yrs.), now the question is....we were just invited to a wedding of someone he associates with from time to time and he works with other people that my FH has know longer. We kinda just met the new groom to be and he invited us to their wedding. Well, I think the proper thing to do is to extend the invite to them to our wedding that they also know about. (They put us in touch with both out photographer and video people that we booked!) But, my FH feels funny inviting them and not the other people that work with the groom. He's known the other people in that office longer and feels that if we invite the new groom that they may feel offended!!!! I'm holding the invitation until I get some insight!! Please help. Guest List question......Long

Difficult situation. Can you afford to invite X number more. If not I would maybe just invite that one guy and his wife since they invited you and have helped you with your vendors. It is a touchy situation but most understand how expensive wedding are. If you are not inviting a number of people (i.e. more than one) I would go with just the one couple. If you are leaving one or two out just invite them. Hope this helps. Let me know what you decide.
