Guest List Vent

I'm sorry to vent like this, but I need to know someone can just relate...so we've been over our list 1 million times (at least it seems that way!!!), who gets a guest, who doesn't...yadayadayada...with everyone. But no one seems content now that they've gone out...can this person have a date....can we add this person....ahhhhhh!!!!

i think you'll def come around 250. I'm sending out 235 and hoping for 150!

I know it *****, but once it's done, what can you do. She already told him- maybe you could ask her to front the money for the xtra person if it does wind up coming over 250?

I recently had a friend who broke up with her BF and asked me if she could bring her friend instead. I told her unfortunately no because none of my friends w/o BF's were invited with guests. I felt bad but what can yu do...

It's true, I feel bad...we tried to give everyone guests who was single, but with older relatives, we didn't even think were coming we didn't. Thank you so much...I really needed to feel like I'm not alone. And I know it was just hard for her to say no.

so hopefully some of your single friends won't come with dates and it'll work itself out. I think you'll be fine with your 250 goal. Congrats- your almost there!

that stinks! everyone i have talked to had trouble with the guest list.
its hard -hang in there...

it's very frustrating. sorry. the whole reason we changed our date was b/c FILs insisted we needed it for their lengthy list....then AFTER i send out all the invites (and it's far too late to turn back now) FMIL says to me that most of them won't come.....then why the hades must i give them top priority over our friends??? (the people she referred to, FH doesn't even know!!)

I would also casually mention to both sets of parents or whoever the main point people are in your family, that you're trying to stay in control of the guest list and that if anyone asks about bringing a guest to have them talk to you or your FH directly.

Unfortunately this may happen repeatedly, and it would be good to have the issue come to you.
