So I have decided to invite my entire group at work to the wedding. There are 12 people in my group and they are all married except for 1 guy who is not even in a relationship. Do I have to put 'and guest' for him on the invitation?

You don't have to but, it would be a nice gesture since you are inviting everyone else with their spouses and he would be the only one without a date (he might not choose to bring one anyway).

We skipped it if they aren't married or seriously dating someone...no one was offended....and those who developed relationships and wanted to bring someone simply asked and we of course said no. kidding...we said, sure! We have set a trend in FH's friends...they are ALL getting mighty serious with their gals now!!!

i agree. you don't HAVE to--but it would be nice so that he doesn't feel like the odd man out. all of our single guests (which really isn't that many at all) will be invited with '& Guest' simply cause i would hate to be single attending a wedding and don't want to do that to someone else! but everyone is different.

I invited my co-workers and boss with a guest. One of them just got divorced officially yesterday. I will still invite her with a guest so she has that option.

you don't have to, but if everyone else is coming with their spouse it would be nice, so he's not sitting by himself..

I would invite him with a guest esp if all of the work people have spouse's. I would feel uncomfortable if i was invited to a work wedding without a guest.

You really dont have to but since he is the only one and he is probably only going to hang with people from work at the wedding, it might be awkward if he does not have a date. I think in that case, I would splurge.

Thanks everyone, I guess I will put 'and guest' so that he doesn't fee awkward.

It's up to you. He might feel awkward though if everyone else has a date there except him.
