So FH and I actually sat down and made out trial list. And wow we got 137 in total. ***. it was suppose to be 100 tops. I am hyperventilating right now. This is too much money that I am spending already. ......So Im going to meet with Westbury Manor to get the total, and give a deposit.

FH parents are doing this...FH and I said that we wanted 175...they offered to pay for the extra people they 'HAVE' to invite...fine by me...lol

Our min is 190. The guest list is at about 200 people right now. We still haven't added some people. We only want to be at 200 people. If we were to invite everyone we know we would have about 300 if not more people at the wedding. We want it to only be family and very close friends.
I can understand the financial stress. I'm getting a part time job to pay for the wedding so that way we're not using our savings. And FH is planning on working extra hours at his part time job. I feel like for the next year we will hardly see one another.

your wedding guest list will change between now and the time you send out your invites. you may have more or less people who are coming. either way, not everyone will come - so try to stay calm about the numbers for now

We spoke about a guarantee of 180 but the contract said 140 which is fine with me. We are inviting about 220 so it will def be more than 140 but hopefully not 180!

Our min is 175 and we have 280 on our list. We do have a lot of oot; but they are fh aunts and uncles and will be coming. What we did was split guarantee is thirds ; 1/3 to His family 1/3 to my family and the last 1/3 we split for friends and co workers. If our parents want to invite more they are going to have to pay for the plates as we will for our guests over. We just can't do it any other way. And I too am stealing the 3 list idea. If I dnt make the minimum I still have to pay so I need to make sure I get that many. She said she can include the venders in that number if I don't make it but didn't say to me If it was still going to be half price. If I did it on a fri I could have had a min of 175. I wanted a Sat so I have to deal. My moms list had 139. Not sure of his moms I'm scared to go over it with her. ( I still waiting for her to give me the engagement party list. )

LOL I've been engaged almost a year now, and I'm still waiting for an approximate NUMBER of friends from FH parents! I asked them in January so I could have a ballpark figure when I started to look at halls- bc 5 friends or 100 friends makes a difference!!! They just kept saying (and still do) 'eh, its 2 years away...We don't need to think about that now'
With your minimum, no worries-you will have like 50 girls on standby here!

I guaranteed 150 guests, but I think we will end up with close to 200. I am still working out the kinks of the guest list.
Kristy, I also kept asking FMIL for a guest list. I got tired of waiting, so I made FH do it.
