FH's best man is gay and has a boyfriend. We are really good friends with both. Do we send an inviation to just the best man and put Mr Robert K and Mr Robert K (yes, they are both named Rob and have last names that begin with K)......or do we send seperate invitations???

Re: Guest Question
wow, that's a good one!
If I were in your situation, I would probably invite them both separately... since you're friends with both of them. But I would give them a heads up about it incase 1 gets an invite before the other one.

Re: Guest Question
When FI and I were just dating and not living together mutual friends of ours were getting married and they sent us both seperate invites, so I would just do that.

Re: Guest Question
We did not send a seperate invitation to FH's bestmans girlfriend even though we see her all the time so its really the same situation. Only one invitation is needed. We did the same thing with my sil. She was a bm and got 1 invitation for her and her fh.

Re: Guest Question
If they are an official couple then I would send them one invite with both of their names on it in alphabetical order by last name K BLAH. But, if they are just dating then I would send each person his own invite. Lisa

Re: Guest Question
Do they live together? If so I would send one invite. If not I would still send one invite and send it to the person he has known longer.

Re: Guest Question
One invitation. They are a couple, so I don't see why their invitation should be worded differently than any other couple's invitation.

Re: Guest Question
Well my one of my FH's brothers is gay and he is also in the BP. We are sending him an invitation as we would to anyother couple addressed to Mr._____________ & Mr._____________ blah blah blah. They have been together for 5years so it is not like this is something new

Re: Guest Question
I would send one invitation with both names. They are a couple the same as anyone else - but just not a married couple.

Re: Guest Question
Boyfriend should get his own invite - especially if they live separately.

Re: Guest Question
Do they live together? Would the BM feel comfortable having it addressed that way - for example if he's living at home with parents?

They live seperately. BM lives in an apartment- and everyone knows about his orientation

Re: Guest Question
I invited a gay couple and addressed it as:
Mr. Robert Jones Mr. Dave Smith address
The same way for other couples who lived together, or have been together for years.

Re: Guest Question
We have a few gay couples and we just addressed the envelope (std) as Mr. John Smith and Mr. John Smith .... We're doing the same on the invites too.
