Original post by trnity44

FH's best man is gay and has a boyfriend. We are really good friends with both. Do we send an inviation to just the best man and put Mr Robert K and Mr Robert K (yes, they are both named Rob and have last names that begin with K)......or do we send seperate invitations???

I invited a gay couple and addressed it as:

Mr. Robert Jones
Mr. Dave Smith
address

The same way for other couples who lived together, or have been together for years.

We have a few gay couples as well and this is how we are addressing the invites.

I have two gay couples coming.
one invite like you would for any serious couple. Both names on it though. My girlfriend said it would have been insulting if we did it differently. Hope that helps.

Re: Guest Question

I had a question about how to address an envelope for a good friend of FH and his girlfriend so we called him to ask what he would prefer.

These are good friends of yours. There should be no problem with you picking up the phone and saying 'hey- I have no idea how to address an invite to the two of you. These are my options....which would you prefer?'
