Guest Transportation

Guest Transportation

Is anyone providing transportation for hotel guests? Any recommendations? It can get costly, but I feel better knowing they're safe! I would hook them up with the Syosset taxi company, but they drive worse than ANYONE! lol. My hotel doesn't have shuttle service. What is everyone doing?

FYI... I added another topic about this because the poll left out one of my choices. I couldn't edit the poll or delete this topic! Sorry!

Yes. I am paying for shuttle bus service to and from hotel and reception.

I am paying for shuttle service to and from hotel/reception...it wasn't too bad, and we deemed it necessary.

What hotel did you book your OOT guests with? I was thinking the East Norwich Inn, but they said you can only block 20 rooms.... So confusing~! Let me know what you're doing! Any ideas would help, I'm also looking into the bus thing...

I LOVE my hotel... it's the Marriott Residence Inn in Plainview. I've lived in Syosset my whole life, and NEVER knew this place existed! It's ABSOLUTELY beautiful! It's on Old Country Rd right off the Seaford Oyster Bay. They quoted me a rate for my guests of 139 a night for both the Sat. and Sun. of my wedding weekend. (I blocked out 25 rooms each night). First of all, the rooms have really nice colors and are CLEAN. They even have little kitchenettes. The hotel has an indoor pool, sauna, workout room, breakfast area (and your guests' breakfasts are included if you wanted to have the 'day after' breakfast party), arcade room, HUGE lobby, game room with ping pong and air hockey and a BAR (where I'm having my after wedding party complete with hot buffet... a little extra $) with a billiard table, darts (I think) and a wall to ceiling aquarium. It's gorgeous. My wedding will end by 10pm on that Sunday, but I love knowing that the relaxing, post wedding gathering will be fun, too! And, to boot, Baldino's is their restaurant. It's AWESOME. You can even go try it out if you want for dinner or whatever. VERY classy. That's actually where I'll have my rehearsal dinner, too! The people are nice, and they'll, of course, give my guests their welcome basket upon arrival. The hotel is perfect (except for the lack of shuttle service). Check it out! I'm sure you'll love it!
