Just wondering if I'm being a little ridiculous...
So, I found out that a very close friend of mine (who I had lived with) is planning on coming to my wedding out on LI and then heading into NYC to go to her bf's sis's 30th bday...not for nothing, the wedding isn't ending til 11 or so...is it wrong that I feel a little angry and upset that I think she is going to skip out of my wedding early to go to a bday party? I know it's the girl's 30th but...

i don't think it's wrong.. i would feel hurt too. I understand that it's a big bday but it's also a big day for u! I may be a bit too sensitive but things like that bother me..

I understand where you are coming from, but I wouldn't be angy with her. She's probably being pulled in two different directions and we all know what that is like! I'm sure if she could, she'd love to spend the whole night at your wedding! Maybe her bf could leave early and she could just meet him there? That's what I would do. I wouldn't let this get you down!!

While I dont think its bad that she's doing it- I think its a little selfish that she told you- she should have just left after the cake and said good bye and left it at that.

I'm probably going to be in the minority here...while I would be a little annoyed I wouldunterst and just look at it as her having two places to be and spliting her time the best she can.

Yeah - that would've been fine...I think it was more the way it was handled...she was asking for all of the hotel info, and then was suddenly like, oh wait - forgot that we have to leave!
It was just very odd...
In reality, it isn't a big deal at all, but, just unexpected...

I have come to realize that people true colors come out during wedding time. I would be hurt too! You have all the right to be.

I just think it is really tacky...a wedding isn't just a regular party...if she felt conflicted she should just commit to one or the other. As I keep saying...some people are just ridiculous!
