Okay, I am in full planning mode because I have 101 days 'til the wedding.
So, with that said- I was thinking should I get a guest book? I haven't really seen them at recent weddings. What do you think? Are any of you going this?

I was thinking about that too... it seemed like a lot of girls on here were getting them but I don't remember seeing them at weddings I've been too.
I just feel like most people will just end up writing, 'Congrats and good luck!' probably bc that's all I'd write unless it was someone I was really close to.

That's how I feel. People will just be too hammered to write anything good and it would be repetitive messages...

Re: Guestbook?
I know alot of my guests are going to forget so i bought a guestbook for $7 and am going to wrap it with fabric in my colors and decorate to dress it up. Maybe if you want a guestbook and dont want to spend alot of money maybe purchase one that is inexpensive just so you'll have one.

Re: Guestbook?
mine doubled as a photo album of me and DH's first 2 years together
We are doing the wish bowl...pics in my album. My mom got it for us, and I totally love it. I jsut need to get a fancy pen to put next to it. I've never seen the guest book either. I'll be putting this right as you walk in.

Re: Guestbook?
Having guests sign adirondack chairs, it will be something we can use forever. I have also seen where you have guests sign a table cloth and then use it at big events, thought that was cute. Oh I originally wanted a winter wedding, and I was going to have guests sign a christmas tree skirt.

I'm using a signature platter instead. I wanted something the guests could sign but I didn't want the typical guest book.

I haven't seen one at weddings I have been to recently but if you want it go for it..
I think though most people will forget to write or won't put alot into it cause of their cards is probably where they write alot and get sappy on ya but of course its up to you..

Re: Guestbook?
I'm thinking of doing something but not the traditional guestbook....haven't quite decided if I'm going to go the wishbowl way or some sort of cloth they can sign and we can frame or hang.

I got a smaller one too. I got them both at Michael's. if you wait until the sunday coupons come out you could get the large frame for a really good price.

Re: Guestbook?
I'm actually using a real book, an oversized one that goes with our wedding theme. People can sign on the blank intro/ending pages. I thought it's a pretty cool idea cause it goes with the theme but it something we can still use/keep.
