Guestbook alternative

Lately I have seen the bride and grooms use their engagement picture w/ extra matting for people to sign around at the reception. If you don't like this idea, or don't know where you would want to put the picture after...how about a 'Words of Wisdom' book. You guests could write you a little note w/ advice.This could be at a table or passed around. Continued success!

That`s definitely an interesting idea ...

it would give guests more time to prepare than when the video guy comes around for a few words. But now I`m confused .. isn`t the guestbook to record who was there for the ceremony? Especially since there are people who skip the ceremonies and just go to the reception. The 'Words of Wisdom' book would definitely be more interesting to look over than just a bunch of signatures.

I'm not really sure why...I think it is just as you said'a written record'. I have only seen the guest book at the church a coulple of times, usually it is at the reception location.
