Ok girls I need your help...
me and fh, are planning on inviting no more than 350 people... (hopefully)... my parents have yetttttt to submit the guestlist!! i have been asking them for the past 5 months!!! 5 months!! My dad says well I have a list but its not a finalized list yet so I dont want to show you it.. I briefly saw his list, and just my side alone is almost 300!!!!! not including my friends... I asked my dad if he knows where I am getting married and the room capacity, and how he thinks we are paying for all these guests... this is not including fhs side!!!!(100-150)

Ok the point that I am getting at is... my hall I believe accomodates 400-420 people? (Russos on the bay- Renaissance Room) For a room to fit guest comfortable, I shouldnt have more than 350-375 correct? that is what my friend who recently got married told me lol ... my dad thinks, 'ok well your room holds 400, so we can have up to 400' NO dadddd!!!

Ughhhhhhh so soo stressseddddd I wish there was a big ROCK icon was that is where I just want to crawl under and stay there right now.. <- thats the only rock I can find haha :((

wow... i thought i was having a lot of people... i dont really know what to tell you other than... tell your dad to make a list of everyone he is absolutely positive he wants to invite... and work from there

I have a similar problem. My parents wrote down everyone they could think to invite, and the number was 370! Basically, what I did was I sat down with my parents once they wrote their 'Christmas List' of everyone they could think of, and then we did some serious eliminating. It was much easier for them to write and then eliminate. Maybe if you offer to do it with them, you'll get it done ;)

I will def do that!! thank you!! I feel like I cant tell them in a nice way without getting so upset.. like they have to invite EVERYONE and think that if they dont, it will be rude!! I mean, you cant please everyone!

ugh my dad did the same thing and after i expressed my feelings about his guests taking up my entire list to the point where i would only be able to invite a few friends, he cut it down. just explain to your dad that there's a maximum to your room and that you really want certain friends to be there. i think people will understand... i mean my dad wanted to invite his 2nd cousin who i've never even met who lives however many states away, who we haven't even spoken to in years! lol. sometimes you just gotta cut the list and move on...
