FH just called to tell me two of his friends cannot make it to the wedding - it's in 3 days! We are SO below our headcount, I think we are short by like 6 ppl.... which doesn't seem like a lot , but it's paying for 6 meals for no one! He suggested filling the space... but how can I invite people 3 days before!? Ugh bummer!

This happened to us. the night before a couple said they could not come. So my brother asked one of his friends if him and his wife wanted to come to the wedding. I didn't mind. We already paid and I knew them so it was okay.

Oh mannnnnn that's a tough one!!! We are under right now too and it s*cks- always thought I would be over what we had wanted to attend- never imagined under!!!!! Good luck with everything!!! In the end there is nothing you can do, so just have the best day of your life!!!!!

Did you invite anyone single that can bring a date? Give them that option, you may not know them but at least you arent paying for an empty seat
Ugghhh...I am so sorry! We had this happen too...8 people backed out the week of the wedding! 4 people did it the night before! It was annoying but honestly Dh and I looked at each other and said....'8 less people we have to talk too! More time to enjoy ourselves!' sorry that happened...I know how frustrating that is! Have a wonderful wedding day!

I'm so sorry. People are so inconsiderate. I am 25 people below our minimum. We are going to ask co-workers who I didn't invite. To come, DON'T bring a gift, and have a great time. We are paying for the meals anyway, so we would rather they get eaten.
