i would say the same thing !!!

my second RSVP had '3' for number attending although the invited friend is single (never dates -- ever)

this is what I e-mailed

Dear ________
Thank you for RSVPing so quickly -- too many people leave it for the last minute. Unfortunately, I can only invite a certain number of people and I don't think I'll be able to include your brother and sister. Nothing personal, of course.

He wrote back and said he put three because the RSVP has a line that says number attending and he thought he could add whoever he wanted.

In a perfect world without budgets, I would have let it slide but this wedding is costing me an arm and a leg as it is. So no brother and sister.
