& guests -- what a freaking pain in the butt!!

I have a few people who asked me if they can bring guests, so I said yes bc I didn't want to cause any drama. Now I have to give my final headcount in a few days and I emailed the girls who asked to let me know if their dates are def coming and one girls says 'I think he's still coming, I'll ask him again and see what he says'

I'm just speechless!!! I am paying $165 per person and these people arent even sure if their freaking dates will show up!!!! This isnt a damn BBQ, it's a wedding!!!!!

Would it be rude not to include the dates on my final count and then just add a plate if they show up? there will def be room at the tables I placed the girls at.

Oh my god I totally hear you!!! I a battling over this with one of fhs relatives...so its SO uncomfy!

I hear you on that one! I don't think it's rude, you can always add someone but if you pay for someone and they don't show up - you're out the $$$. If they say something, say no biggie they can set a place for him, you didn't give me a definate answer.

I would do that. This is one reason why we didnt invite some people with guest, didnt feel like going through this when my friends arent dating anyone!!!

OMG the guestlist was the worst, most stressful aspect of the wedding planning for me. I had a few situations like this but I'm a bit$h so I just said, I need to know on this day by this time and if you DON'T have a YES answer for me, then it's a NO. Sorry! People just had to deal with it

Aren't people such jerks! I would call them back and say, I have to give the final headcount by (give a set time) and let them make that call and call you back pronto.
