gulfstream financial inc.... dont be fooled!!!

ok so my Dh just got a letter in the mail saying we won $250,000 but before we can claim the money they broke us a check for $4,880 that covers taxes and we need to put it in out account 1st then send them the money via money order-western union. they said DH entered a contest at either home depot or walmart 3 months ago and he knew he didnt cause DH is not for entereing contest in stores and giving out info. i knew from the get go it was a scam but DH got all excited and wanted to call and see what was up so i let him. they didnt ask for any personal info. just the claim # on the paper. then i told him to google the company and sure enough all we found was things on it being a scam. so just wanted to give you girls all a heads up to be careful if you get something in that mail with a check that looks VERY real to do research before you cash anything!

I've had similar phone calls from a few different places that say we entered or a family memeber enterd us into a drawing for free stuff. NO WE DIDN'T! I don't even call the places back.

that's the biggest scam. what they want is you to cash it, send them the money. then a week later your bank says fake check, and takes the money back! but guess what? you already took it out and sent it to them!!! so you get stuck with fees and having to pay it back. and they run off with the cash from wherever they are.
