Hi ladies. My current problem of the day is thinking I over shot my guranteed head count. We are doing save the dates on Monday so I need a pre-liminary list of who I am sending to. Right now my biggest list I have is 176! I guranteed 175!! I dont know why I thought I would have more than 200. Anyone run into this problem? If so what is the odds the venue lets me lower my gurantee to 150- will there be a huge up charge? Help
Are you sending Save the Dates to ALL of the guests you are inviting? We are leaving some off of that list, like co-workers of our parents, so our final list will be higher than the STD list.
At our venue, the price goes down at certain guaranteed numbers. Does your venue work this way? Do they just charge a little bit more if you only guaranteed maybe 150? You might have to take that price.

I'm sure you can move your guest count to 150 without a problem since you still have about a year to go

Most places will just charge you for the minimum even if you don't hit it. Some may offer you some extras to offset the price (extra cocktail hour station, etc.) but I don't believe many do that. Is that 176 including +1's? If not, that may be an easy way to hit the minimum that your guests will really appreciate.

is that number the MINIMUM or just the head count you initially told them? If its just your headcount they should allow you to change it. If its the Minimum for the Venue they aren't likely to bend.

I dont know the minimum was for that building because it's a Friday night. Yea I am going to wait for my Fiances list then contact my BM

I hope they let you change it! There's lots of time still... they were going to let me do a minimum of 125 but thats because its off-season so maybe it's different?
