has anyone been there to ask about pricing were having about 200 people so i would like to stay around 150pp although cheaper is always better! i really love the idea of a winter wedding there (early december) help!

I am not sure of the price, but I love Gurneys. It is a great idea. Also a winter wedding is most likely cheaper than spring or summer. I would look into it. We would have but FH thought it was too far east in Long Island since his family is all in NJ. We tried to have a good balance. Hope everything works out.

The place is fantastic...we stayed there a few years ago and that was expensive just to stay but worth it. I think they are pretty expensive but they treat you great and you can't beat the views!

I'm having my wedding there in Sept. of 2009. I was really impressed by them.
We actually went to visit the place right after xmas and it was still beautiful! ISince the view and the beach are the best parts you do lose the opportunity to have your event outside in Dec. I woud consider sept or oct so you might be able to have the cocktail hour on the deck and its great in Montauk. However if you do decide on december but it was still amazing! Also, they are priced the same any time of year- so you can really be flexible!

ooh - one thing though. The best part of gurneys is the view - its gorgeous! - so if you're getting married in the winter months and are set on having an evening wedding, remember that the sun sets around 5-6 pm.... You wouldn't really get to enjoy it!

I was quoted $145 and $165 for a Saturday evening in the summer, depending on which menu you go with. Its so beautiful there! But just a bit out of my budget
