sometimes those are the nights you have the most fun. You have nothing to lose..go and when you talk to him on the phone tell him you had a late night last night so you want to call it an early night tonight..this way he knows before hand and if you do not like him and do not want to be there it will not seem like you are blowing him off.

Michi .. you are overthinking this one. Sure he was nice to call, etc, but you cannot hep that you just aren't up for it. You don't even KNOW him.. you cannot force yourself to be in 'date mode' when you just aren't
Please don't worry about the Karma (yes, I know that's what you are thinking) But if you are going to cancel, just do it soon before you keep agonizing over it all afternoon

I agree. If you are worried about karma or something (), just say that something came up and you'll only have time for a quick drink (alch or coffee) and you can reschedule the full date for another night. This way, you're still keeping your obligation but in a less date-y kind of way. Good luck!

ok guys so i did it.. i called him and said that something came up and maybe we can re-schedule (which is not true at all)and sorry for canceling on short notice...
and i def. did the right thing cause i dont know what it is but i can not stand talking to him on the phone, i need to hear excitment in someones voice and he is just DULL!!
ur all right if im just not into it im not into it...i dunno if this online thing is for me..cause i really need to click with someone over the phone even b4 i meet them :) i feel so relieved now that i dont hafta go see him tonite...
i gotta go with my gut next time:) thanks for the advice
