What is it about?

Looks like it's about some village.. (maybe 1800's time frame setting..) and there's these woods on it's outer edge.. and someone or something lives in the woods causing the people who live in the village horror.

It's made by the same guy who did --

I heard a review about it this morning on Z100 and they said it was more of a lovestory than a horror one. I still am sooooooo excited to see it!!

No they werent...even Night said it in an interview I saw him in. Its not a girly love story.....more like a psychological one.

Yeah I love M Knight S. too...I always like the creepy ones and they say he takes the cake.

i love that his movies mess with your head. it is what he doesn't show that creeps me out. there's no blood and gore, just your imagination.

I was watching HBO this weekend and they had a 'making of' show on it. In no way do they give away the movie, but here's what I can gather.

This village has lived like this since anyone can remember. There are rules they need to live by to stay safe. If they follow the rules,
the creatures will not hurt them

They must avoid the color that attracts the creatures (red)
They cannot go out at night
They cannot go into the woods
They must heed the warning of the creatures

It didnt look like any love story to me. When the creatures comes closer to the village they leave warnings like dead carcasses hanging, which tell the villagers to hide. I dont know, it seemed really scary to me. Stellar ensemble though. Joaquim Phoneix, William Hurt, Sigorney Weaver, Adreinne Brody. I cant wait to see it!!!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!

Soooo happy that it's finally coming out this weekend! I remember the first time I saw a trailer for it and I almost died! :) I love horror/scary movies, and Shymalyan is just so wonderful as a director of this genre. It's nice to know that thre are still people out there who really want to make a good scary movie!!! I'm off thi Friday so maybe I can drag DH to an afternoon show It's looks wonderful - I can't wait!
