Ok so here is our bridal party breakdown. we kind of eliminated the idea becuase we have way to many brothers, sisters, cousins, friends. but we still have a small one
FH has 2 BEST MEN
I have 2 MOH and 1bm.
My theme is PEACOCK (both blue and green).
we got the dresses in green and not peacock blue. FH wants to wear a peacock blue tie and his 2 best men also.
Is this ok, or is it going to look look weird?? are they all suppose to match the girls dresses.

its up to your personal preference. i hate the matchy matchy look so when we went for the tuxedo's the guy told him that that look is very dated. so we are having all the guys wear black vests and just the tie is going to match the girls dresses - but even then, the tie is striped with only hints of champagne coming through. BUT, if your girls wear green and the guys wear blue ties i don't think it will match, if that helps any

like antonella said, it's up to you. i didn't want to match too much. the girls are in yellow dresses and the guys will have silver/greyish ties which match our invitations. the guys will have a yellow calla lily though as their bout.

I don't think they have to match exactly. Ours did, but the girls had black dresses and the guys had black ties with a stripe. DH wore a yellow tie.

I don't think they have to match exactly - but in your case, it will match, since its part of your color theme.
For us - we have the guys in black vest, jacket and pants with a pink tie to match the girls dresses. Not exactly but darn close, and a pink flower.
I wouldnt feel right putting them in a pink vest, that would be too much!!!!!
But like what the other ladies said - i really think its up to you and what you like. Go to the tuxedo place, have FH try on the different options and see what you like.

totally up to you... i wanted some sort of match to keep with the color scheme... they ended up with a slightly different color orange...
they look very similar in the pictures... but the ties were much lighter...

I don't think it has to match , everything should just coordinate I think and it sounds like you are!!

thanks girls. yeah i think the peacock blue and the green is toooooooooo different though. looks kind of hideous this way i think...
if only i could find a stripped tie that had both blue and green!
We are not having the guys match the dresses. The girls are wearing dark pink, the guys are wearing navy ties.

I am also a peacock girl
My girls are alternating blue and purple... the Groomsmen ties are striped with both colors (middle)! FH's tie will be the solid purple and our Dad's will be the light purple :) the dress pic is light for some reason.. actual dresses are brighter/darker

ETA: I think it would look great if you found a tie for the groomsmen with both colors and then FH with the solid.. it will also seperate him from the groomsmen
