GW MANOR
I was just curious if anyone who has had their wedding there had any feedback and how many people attended? Thanks ladies.

Roslyn right?
My friend had her bridal shower there, it's so beautiful! :)

I had my wedding there in May 2001
It was beautiful, spectacular, romantic, everything I ever wanted. We invited 164 and had 104 yeses and on that day ended up with 96! Keep their limit in mind - it's not too comfortable if you get too crowded in there...

Keep in mind about the # of guests you tell your hall ...
A friend told me that you should, for the final count, give a number of about 10 less than the actual # of yesses you received. There is ALWAYS a chance that some may not show (got sick, broken down car, etc.), and you don't want to get stuck paying for them. If your # of guests IS the exact of the yes list, then just bring that money the night of to make up the difference...could save yourself a few hundred bucks, and nobody will be the wiser!! :)

I agree with Lee in that make sure you do not go over the amount of people they tell you will fit in the room. I have been to 2 weddings there and both times the room was really tight. I think they had about 150. Good Luck!

Agree with Marnles
The GW Manor, as long as you met your minimum (95) you only pay for who shows after that, so I didn't have that problem. It's not a bad idea to check with the hall on their policy of that-day no shows - it definitely does happen. And Sirev is right 150 at the GW Manor would definitely have been too tight, even though they say that is the room max.

What about 130?
Would 130 be comfortable for dancing?

Keep in mind about the # of guests you tell your hall ...
Just a few things to keep in mind in trying to give the hall a lower # of guests as a final count. The problem with giving them a count that is less is that you need to give them your placecards. They can easily count the names on the placecards and come up with the real number. They will need to know the count per table to set the places. Even if they didn`t catch on, say the day of the wedding comes and all your guests do show up, they will be having to shift place settings to accomodate more and trying to figure out where they need more chairs. Very messy. My place had a 5% grace. If you told them you were having 160 guests, you had a grace of 8 guests that could not show up and you wouldn`t be charged for them. Ask if they offer something like that.Welcome New Vendors
